Carole Mikita ReportingSouthern Utah was the location for one movie that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
"Edge of America" is a work of fiction based on actual events and people. It takes place on an Indian Reservation and the cast includes actors from several tribes.
James McDaniel of "NYPD Blue" says making this film has been a dream of his for more than a dozen years.
James McDaniel, "Edge of America"; "This is a true labor of love and we're here and it's premiering and it's a wonderful night."
Delanna Studi plays the team's tough girl...
Delanna Studi, "Edge of America": "She's never really had a father so Coach Williams becomes a father figure to her and teaches her how to believe in herself and become part of a team."
The director brought cast and crew to the movie's premiere, back to where they shot the film.
Chris Eyre, "Edge of America", Director: "It's a beautiful, beautiful state, beautiful locations. We also chose it because it has Indian country in proximity -- Utes and Shoshones and Piutes, and that's all part of the movie."
Wes Studi, who starred in "The Last of the Mohicans", "Dances with Wolves" and "Geronimo" talked of this festival's importance.

"Edge of America" runs again on Thursday, Friday and Sunday. The Sundance Film Festival runs through this Sunday the 25th with screenings here, in Park City, Ogden and at Sundance.
