(KSL News/AP) The westbound lanes of Interstate-80 were closed near the mouth of Parley's Canyon for nearly 12 hours because of a rollover accident.
A semi truck was exiting the canyon just after 11:00 last night when the driver apparently took a turn too fast and rolled the vehicle.
The truck was carrying of load of dry goods at the time -- most of which ended up in the road.
Jason Pitcher/ Utah Highway Patrol: "We're looking at approximately 40,000 pounds of goods."
The driver was taken to the University Medical Center with minor injuries.
Traffic in the area was diverted on to I-215 for several hours while the mess was cleaned up.
