(Salt Lake City-AP) -- Athletic director Chris Hill says the search for a new men's basketball coach can wait.

Hill says he learned late last night that University of Utah coach Rick Majerus was being flown to California to be treated for heart problems. Majerus complained last night of chest pains that grew progressively worse. His cardiologist in Santa Barbara urged him to fly there for treatment. This morning, he announced this would be his last season.

Hill says assistant Kerry Rupp will coach the team in Majerus' absence.

Hill also says he's not worried about finding a new coach just yet. He says the health of Majerus is their primary concern right now.
