(Fort Hood, TX-AP) -- A soldier from Utah is among four killed in the northern Iraq city of Kirkuk over the weekend.
The Defense Department says 25-year-old Corporal Juan Cabralbanuelos of Riverdale and two other soldiers from the Fourth Infantry Division stationed at Fort Hood were killed when their vehicle struck a homemade explosive device.
A fourth soldier from Fort Hood was killed in a separate incident but that person's identity has not yet been released.
Cabralbanuelos was a light-truck mechanic assigned to the Company A, Fourth Forward Support Battalion. Their vehicle hit the improvised mine while traveling as part of a convoy about 27-miles south of Kirkuk.
Cabralbanuelos was born in Mexico. He enlisted in 1996 and had been at Fort Hood since 1999.
