Gene Kennedy ReportingA high speed chase through the Salt Lake Valley started with four men in a stolen car. It ended with only one arrest.

Someone stole a Cadillac Escalade from a car lot four days ago. West Valley City police received information about it and spotted it overnight.

When officers tried to pull over the vehicle, the driver stopped only briefly. Two men jumped out and ran. The Escalade then took off.

Police Look for Driver of Stolen SUV

Officers chased it from West Valley to a Salt Lake City apartment complex at 700 North 900 West. That's where two more people jumped out of the vehicle.

Lt. Matt Elson, West Valley City Police: "A driver and passenger jumped out of the car and ran. We arrested the passenger but were unable to get the driver. We don't know where he is."

Police Look for Driver of Stolen SUV

The man officers arrested is identified as David Abio. He's in jail for fleeing from police. Officers hope he'll give them some information on the driver.

If not, police are hoping evidence in the Escalade will lead them to their man. They are not searching for the two other people who were in the SUV.
