(KSL News) -- A judge formally sentenced Cody Nielsen to life in prison today for the death of 15-year old Trisha Autry.
A jury convicted him of capital murder last month. Nielsen was also found guilty of dismembering the teen's body and burying the body parts at a research laboratory where he worked.
The jury deliberated for two and a half hours during the sentencing phase before agreeing on life in prison without parole.
