(Washington-AP) -- The Agriculture Department is providing nearly two (m) million dollars in emergency funding to help farmers and ranchers in nine states, including Utah.
Agriculture Secretary Ann Veneman says the money will help producers rehabilitate farmland damaged by various natural disasters throughout the country. She says the funding is available because of unused allocations from other states.
The money from Emergency Conservation Program is going to Alabama, Colorado, Idaho, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee and Utah.
