SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Gas prices in Utah have gone up about 2 cents a gallon in the last month and increased in several other Western states, which AAA Utah says is unusual for autumn pricing.
AAA Utah reports that the average price of a gallon of unleaded gas is $2.64. That is 2 cents higher than last month's AAA report and 25 cents higher than a year ago.
The national trend since last month was a steady increase in price until Nov. 3, when the national average price of regular self-serve began to fall to the current $2.66 per gallon.
Alaska's average, $3.40, is the highest price in the country and California, at $2.98, has the highest price in the lower 48 states. Missouri's average, $2.48, is the lowest average price in the country.
