(KSL News) -- Police have confirmed that the woman found dead in a parked car in Salt Lake City last night was murdered.
28-year old Tara Brennan died from multiple stab wounds to her chest and neck. Police found her dead body lying in the back seat of her car, and they don't know how long the car had been there.
Det. Dwayne Baird, Salt Lake City Police: "We've had various reports. We've had people say it was there just through the morning of the day it was found, and we've had witnesses who've said it's been there for days. At this point we're trying to reconstruct that."
Police say the victim grew up in Salt Lake, but she's spent some time in California.
Brennan was booked into the Utah jail in July 2002 for failing to pay a fine after being arrested for driving under the influence.
