Jed Boal ReportingThe wet, slick weather has created havoc on the roads tonight. It has been white-knuckle time on the roads since early afternoon.

An accident on I-15 in Kaysville is just one of many wrecks tonight. The Volkswagen locked fenders with the Honda and both ended up off the road. There were minor injuries in this accident, but nothing major.

The biggest number of accidents took place in Utah County. There were 10 separate accidents in a seven mile stretch of I-15 between Spanish Fork and Payson. The first accident happened when a car hydroplaned and lost control. The most serious accident involved three semi trucks.

Sgt. David Decker, Utah Highway Patrol: "Because of the poor visibility and the speed that traffic was traveling traffic was unable to stop before crashing into cars that had already stopped because of the first accident."

Southbound lanes were closed for over two hours while the wreck was cleaned up. Traffic was backed up for miles.

Troopers say speed and driving too close caused the accidents. They say, slow down and don't follow so closely behind the car in front of you.

Fortunately there have been no serious injuries in any of the dozens of accidents along the Wasatch Front I-15 corridor.
