(KSL News) -- Students at the University of Utah could soon be paying more for their education.
The school's trustees have approved tuition hikes of about 200-dollars per semester. Students pursuing graduate degrees could pay even bigger increases.
Officials say the extra money would help fill holes in legislative funding.
Meantime, the University of Utah is not alone in its request. All schools in the state public system are asking for similar increases.
The state Board of Regents will decide on the requests on Friday.
