(Cedar City-AP) -- Two 17-year-olds charged in the beating death of a Cedar City group home counselor will be in court for an extradition hearing today in Las Vegas.

Jesse Simmons and Sean Graham are accused of beating 31-year-old Anson Arnett with a baseball bat Monday night at the Maximum Life Skills Academy.

Arnett died Tuesday at a Salt Lake City hospital and the teens were arrested in Las Vegas.

The pair are charged with aggravated murder and also face theft charges for allegedly stealing a vehicle and other items from the home.

A county attorney says if they waive extradition today, they will be returned immediately to Iron County to face the charges. If they fight extradition, it will take a warrant and a court hearing to decide their status.
