Kimberly Houk reporting Police are looking for a man in his late teens, who they say robbed a Burger King in Murray and stabbed one of the employees.

Police did get a look at the suspect, but he jumped a fence and got away.

He is still running tonight.

Police say just before 9:00 last night, the man came into the Burger King wearing a ski mask.

He had a knife and he demanded money from the cashier. Police say he got away with less than $50.

But as he was leaving, a Burger King worker took off after him and the two men started fighting.

Linda Sandquist/ Witness: "The employee was waving down the police, and the next thing you know, he was stabbing him. He stabbed him three times."

Christy Harper/ Witness: "We took all the clothes and blankets we had in the car and just kept pressure. By the time the ambulance got here, all the wounds except the one on his chest had stopped bleeding."

Rob Hall/ Murray Police Dept.: "One thing that was kind of unique is witnesses said that shortly after he left the restaurant, he removed the mask. So they did get a little bit of better look at his face. We're hoping that our victim can shed more light on that."

Police say the victim had serious but superficial stab wounds. He was flown by helicopter to a nearby hospital where he is in good condition tonight.

He will probably be released soon.

Police say the suspect used a household kitchen-type of knife. It was larger than a steak knife but smaller than a butcher knife.

Police are still interviewing the victim and say they don't know why he chose to chase after the suspect.

Police are reminding everyone not to take the law into their own hands.
