(KSL News)--Police are looking for a man they say tried to burglarize two Salt Lake City banks last night.
A man says he was withdrawing money from the ATM machine at the Wells Fargo bank on 783 N. Redwood Road when he noticed that the front window of the bank was broken and a man was inside.
Brad Christensen, Witness: "I could see an individual above the counter. We locked eyes. At that point I knew something extracurricular was going on. I headed out and called police."
As police were responding to that call, officers noticed a broken window at the Mountain America Credit Union around the corner.
Detectives say no money was taken from that bank. But a small amount of cash is missing from the Wells Fargo.
They believe both breakins are related.
The suspect is described as a male Hispanic with a mustache.
