Sandra Yi ReportingA bomb scare closed a section of I-15 in Salt Lake City this evening.
A Deseret Industries employee at Welfare Square found what he thought was a bomb at the donation center.
The thrift store was evacuated, and because of the closeness to the freeway southbound lanes of I-15 were shut down for a while.
Bomb experts quickly determined it was a hoax. The device was made of wooden dowels with paper wrapped around them to look like dynamite. A plastic clock was attached to the device.
