LAYTON -- A stand-up comedian is on the run from police. Scott Lee Russell -- better known to audiences as "Scotty Lee" -- is wanted in connection with child pornography.

Layton police Lt. James Petre said, "We have a warrant issued for Mr. Lee in May of this year. We had a case come in last year in which we learned he was involved in a relationship when he was younger with a minor. During the course of the relationship some photographs were taken, and he was found to be in possession of those photographs."

The detective working the case has been trying to get Lee to turn himself in.

"We've gone to places that we've known him to be at, and they've been trying to track him down ... he's just been able to stay one step ahead of us."

Police planned to arrest the 24-year-old last Friday.

Petre said, "The detective learned that he was going to be performing at this comedy club up in Ogden and asked for Ogden's assistance to see if they could serve the warrant that's issued for him, and I guess he canceled his show."
