(Salt Lake City-AP) -- Average gas prices hit record highs today in Utah.

AAA of Utah reports the average gas prices are one-dollar-85 cents per gallon.

That's a four-cent increase from last month and an 18-cent increase since last year.

According to AAA, all Utah cities have experienced increased gas prices, with motorists in St. George paying the most at a dollar-91 a gallon.

Vernal follows with a dollar-88, and motorists in Salt Lake City are paying up to one-81 a gallon. The smallest increase is in Provo with a two-cent increase.

A AAA spokeswoman says prices will likely stay elevated through the summer.

Gas prices also set records today in Nevada, Montana and Idaho.
