(Bountiful-AP) -- Bountiful police say it appears the brakes failed on a flatbed truck when it lost control and hit several cars.
The accident happened just after noon yesterday.
Police say the runaway truck loaded with shingles careened through the Bountiful intersection hitting an S-U-V, two cars and a light pole.
Four people in the S-U-V were sent to the hospital, including a 15-year-old girl who was flown to Primary Children's Hospital with head and internal injuries.
The driver and passenger of the flatbed were transported to L-D-S Hospital with severe injuries.
