(Salt Lake City-AP) -- The Division of Child and Family Services says they weren't taking any chances.
The Murray office was closed and the Salt Lake City office was put on alert yesterday after a disgruntled father reportedly made threats against D-C-F-S workers.
The 38-year-old Murray man's two children were placed in foster care earlier this week after he visited the D-C-F-S office in Murray. A D-C-F-S spokeswoman says he was very upset and it made workers nervous enough that they thought they should take the kids for a while. He called the office Wednesday promising to come and "fight it out".
But police say the man had stolen a car and gun from his mother's home, which prompted officials to take the extra security precautions.
Police arrested the man on suspicion of burglary charges and weapons charges.
