Richard Piatt ReportingStarting tonight at 8 o'clock there will be some major road closures that you need to know about.
Northbound I-15 will be closed from the Spaghetti Bowl to 600 South starting tonight at 8 o'clock. However, it will reopen again tomorrow morning at 6.
The Spaghetti Bowl is the spot along I-15 where the interchange between I-15 meets up with I-80, along with SR 201 and 21st South. There are quite a few overpasses that overlap in this area, resembling spaghetti noodles, and that's how this area got it's name--the spaghetti bowl.
Along with the I-15 closure there will be several ramp closures including 1300 South ramp, the West bound I-80 ramp, and the East Bound SR 201 ramp, they will all be closed to North bound I-15.
Again, those closures start tonight at 8:00 and they will reopen again tomorrow morning at 6:00. These same closures will be closed again tomorrow night from 8:00 to 6:00. They will also be closed all weekend long, starting Friday night at 8:00 and will not re-open again until Monday morning at 6:00.
These closures are all a part of the I-15 Joint Repair Project.
And UDOT wants to remind everyone to slow down and use caution when driving through work zones.
