(Salt Lake City-AP) -- A Salt Lake City driver is dead after hitting a moose near Little Dell Reservoir.
It happened last night around 9 p-m.
Salt Lake County Sheriff's officers say the man was driving through the canyon when he rounded the corner and hit the moose which was standing in the road.
The 31-year-old man died at the scene. The moose also died.
Police have not released the man's identity pending notification of next of kin.
