(KSL News) -- Orem police are looking for a woman who hit an eight-year old girl with her car then left the scene.
It happened yesterday morning as the girl was crossing the cross walk outside Sharon Elementary School. Police say a woman rolled through the intersection and hit the child. The girl was spun around. She suffered face injuries and her shoulder was dislocated.
Police say the driver stopped long enough to roll down her window and say sorry, but then drove off. The girl's mother watched it happen.
Gloria Frutus, Victim's Mother: "I felt bad. I didn't think to say anything to the woman. She didn't say anything but, 'I'm sorry' and left."
The woman is described as in her mid 30's with shoulder length blond hair. She was driving a newer model brown or gold colored mini van.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Orem Police Department.
