(Denver-AP) -- It was a monumental goof.

The cover photo on Triple-A's Colorado-Utah guidebook was supposed to be Utah's Monument Valley, but it was actually Cathedral Rock in Sedona, Arizona

About 500 thousand copies of the 2004 guidebook were sent to the auto association's affiliates in the United States and Canada before the mistake was spotted.

A-A-A spokeswoman Jane Graziani says the Seattle photo agency Corbis Corporation provided the picture and may have misidentified it. A Corbis spokesman said he was not familiar with the mistake but said mislabeling was unlikely. He declined further comment.

The same photo appeared on the cover of the Arizona-New Mexico guidebook.

Replacements for the Colorado-Utah guidebook are being printed with a photo of Colorado's Mesa Verde National Park on the cover.
