(Sandy-AP) -- A Sandy woman is facing possible kidnapping charges after police say she kidnapped a man and threatened to kill him.
Police say a man was asked by a friend to help him move furniture from a parking lot in West Jordan on April 28. Instead, he was confronted by the woman and two others who were armed.
The man told police he was forced into the back seat of a car where the woman told him he would be taken into the desert and beaten with a baseball bat.
He was able to jump from the moving vehicle and run into a food store where employees called police. An affidavit says surveillance video shows an accomplice running into the store after him.
Police later arrested the woman. A search of her apartment this week turned up weapons and drugs. She also faces drug charges.
