(Riverside, California-AP) -- A man was sentenced to 350 years in prison yesterday in Riverside for the molestation and kidnapping of his roommate's five-year-old daughter.
Charles William Mix kidnapped the girl in June 2003 and was later found eating hamburgers with her on the lawn of a Mormon church in Richfield, Utah.
Utah police who arrested the 49-year-old found explicit photos of the girl in his vehicle and he later told Riverside detectives he molested the girl.
At yesterday's sentencing Superior Court Judge Christian F- Thierbach told Mix that he would do everything he could to -- quote -- "virtually guarantee that you will never see the light of day outside a prison yard for the rest of your life."
Mix's lawyer says his client would likely file an appeal.
