(KSL News) -- Undercover work by the State Bureau of Investigation has exposed an identity theft and forgery ring that appears to have been very busy.
Officers seized more than 1,000 fake documents when they searched a Salt Lake City apartment late last week. They include drivers' licenses, Social Security cards, blank checks, immigration cards, birth certificates, even vehicle registrations, passports and a high school diploma.
And investigators expect to find more on seized computer hard drives.
They've arrested three people and sent them to jail.
