(KSL News) -- It was raining candy today at Freedom Elementary School.
Gail Halverson of Spanish Fork is the famous candy bomber who "bombed" German children in Berlin with candy during the Berlin airlift following World War II.
The students at Freedom Elementary have been studying the war and were delighted to have an American hero speak to them, and, of course, share his delicious legend.
