(KSL News) -- A two-year old boy was hit by a van on State Street in Midvale today. Police say he was with his parents and suddenly ran off, heading to the busy street.
Sgt. Ken Jarvis, Midvale Police Dept.: "The child just got antsy, bolted, and ended up going toward the street."
The toddler was hit by the side of a van and knocked over. Police aren't sure if he was thrown to the curb or pulled under by the wheel, but they say it looks like his torso was run over.
He was flown to LDS Hospital.
