Nadine WImmer reporting There are many signs we're getting more than our money's worth in education.
Here's one of them.
She's great with a score, whether on the piano, or on the ACT college entrance exam. Zoe Howe got a perfect 36. And she did it on the first try.
Zoe Howe, Perfect Score on ACT: "I didn't really study for it... I bought one of those help books and opened it once, but that was about it."
And if that doesn't generate a little envy, this might. As one of 31 perfect scores in the country out of the nearly half million students who took the test, that puts her in the top 99-point-999 percentile.
Still, her teachers and parents tell us, she's humble and hard working.
Charlotte Howe, Zoe's Mother: "Boy, she's 17 going on 35... She's in charge of her own schedule and she pretty much dosen't need any direction at all."
So it won't surprise you to hear she's a 4 point 0 student and involved in several activities. She's excited about what this might mean for her future, and for what it won't mean.
Zoe Howe, Perfect Score on ACT: "It's nice that i don't have to take the test again."
