(Salt Lake City-AP) -- Organizers of this weekend's Utah Pride festival in Salt Lake City say the event isn't a political event, but a celebration of diversity in Utah.

The 21st annual festival features a parade, a religious ceremony and an athletic race.

This year's sponsors include Wells Fargo Bank, Budweiser and American Express. Politicians and religious organizations will be in attendance, too.

Last year's Pride festival drew more than 30-thousand gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transsexuals and supportive straight people.

The festival is free to the public. This year's theme is "Come out, come out, wherever you are."
