Samantha Hayes ReportingA fatal accident this morning was the 11th fatality in just the last three days. 40-year old Shane Ehlers of Salt Lake died this morning at LDS Hospital after he was ejected from a rolling truck. It happened near Point of the Mountain.
Police say the driver of a red truck rolled after swerving into another driver who was beside him in the left lane. Both men riding inside of the red truck were ejected.
Sgt. Brian Nelson, Utah Highway Patrol: “I would bet money that they would have walked away from it with a lot less injuries than they have now if they would have had their seatbelts on."
Troopers say there is no common reason for the nine recent fatal accidents.
