SALT LAKE CITY -- Almost one-fifth of Utah's population will be without health insurance by the end of the year, according to a new report.

Families USA projects 18.8 percent of people will be without health coverage at the end of 2009. The group says this year alone more than 40,000 people have lost their insurance due to lost jobs, and have been unable to replace it due to high costs.

The majority of Utahns get health coverage through their employers.
