(KSL News) -- A 17 year old boy who disappeared from a Cedar City foster home re-appears in a stolen truck and leads police on a chase reaching speeds over 100 m.p.h.

The boy was spotted about 20 miles south of Nephi early Sunday morning. When troopers with Utah Highway Patrol tried to pull him over, he wouldn't stop.

When police tried to spike his tires, the teen swerved into the median and avoided the spikes. Then he crossed into the Southbound lanes of I-15 and continued heading North for 6 miles.

He finally got off in Mona where he crashed the truck on a dirt road.

After a short foot chase, the teen was caught and taken to a Provo detention center.

No word on specific charges the teen will face.
