SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- More members of the Fundamental Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints are being ex-communicated from the church.

Residents say Warren Jeffs, the leader of the F-L-D-S church, purged at least eight church members living in Hildale, Utah and neighboring Colorado City, Arizona. That's according to The Salt Lake Tribune.

Former Colorado City Councilman Richard Holm says they include one wife, and Truman Barlow, the son of the late polygamous prophet John Y. Barlow and brother to ousted Mayor Dan Barlow.

In January, Jeffs ousted the mayor and 20 other men, ordering them to leave town without their wives or property.

The F-L-D-S church has about ten-thousand members in Hildale and neighboring Colorado City, Arizona, who support plural marriage part of their religion.
