SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The eastbound lanes of Interstate-80 were closed most of the day at 9000 West after a head-on collision this morning.

The Utah Highway Patrol says a car carrying two people swerved into the eastbound lanes of I-80, slamming into a semitrailer truck carrying cantaloupe.
Officers say two adults and three children in the semitrailer and the two people in the car all suffered non-life threatening injuries but were transported to the hospital.
Eastbound traffic was diverted onto State Road 201.
There's no word yet on the cause of the accident.
