SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A Tooele man who only recently learned to swim drowned at Causey Reservoir yesterday during a family outing.

Weber County Sheriff's Sergeant John Morrow says 25-year-old Zachery Jones was swimming at the reservoir but drifted too far from shore when he went under around 2 p.m.

Jones had been slowly learning to swim over the past year.

Volunteer search-and-rescue diver Scott Willis located Jones' body around four yesterday afternoon in about 15 feet of water 20 yards from the shore.

Jones had been camping at nearby Monte Cristo with family and friends when a group decided to head east to Causey Reservoir to swim.
