(KSL News) -- A Texas man is in jail, accused of running over and killing his girlfriend at Arches National Park.
Grand County Sheriff's deputies say the couple had an argument last night. They say James Cunningham drove away, leaving his 34-year-old girlfriend, Rhonda Rosenbalm -- also from Texas -- on the Moab Fault Overlook.
Witnesses say they pulled over to pick Rosenbalm up, but before she got in the truck, Cunningham returned.
Sgt. Curt Brewer, Grand County Sheriff's Office: "The boyfriend came back over the hill toward their direction and subsequently striking the female, and also striking the truck, causing them to go off the embankment."
Rosenbalm died at the scene. The truck fell 40 feet down an embankment, but fortunately the three people inside were not seriously hurt.
Cunningham's car burst into flames. He escaped with minor injuries, was treated and arrested.
