Man Who Shot Wife and Self Dies

SANDY, Utah (AP) -- Police say the man who shot and killed his estranged wife yesterday then turned the gun on himself outside a Sandy apartment complex has died.

Witnesses say they heard 46-year-old Frank Lupinacci, Junior and 49-year-old Marydell Lupinacci arguing outside her apartment before he pulled out a gun and shot her. He then turned the gun on himself.

Marydell Lupinacci was pronounced dead at the scene. Frank Lupinacci was flown to the hospital in critical condition but police say he died today just after noon.

Police say the two were still married, but recently separated.

Police are continuing to investigate.
