Sam Penrod reportingMany people along the Wasatch front were in the dark this morning after their power went out. The outages occurred in south Salt Lake County and in northern Utah County.

It all happened about 8:20 this morning when Utah Power tells us that a 138 thousand volt line went down, presumably from bad weather and onto a distribution line in the Bluffdale area. That took down 13,000 homes in Bluffdale, Herriman, Riverton as well as Lehi, American Fork and Saratoga Springs in Utah County.
About 10:00 this morning most of the customers got their power back on, after crews were able to redistribute the power through other lines.
