(KSL News) -- Ogden City police are looking for an attempted murder suspect who they believe is armed.

Authorities say Eric Pectol shot 22-year-old Travis Montes in the chest early this morning in Ogden. They say Pectol brought Montes to the hospital, then took off.

Montes is in critical condition.

Police say Pectol's motive is unclear. They say Pectol is carrying a handgun and is driving a white 1993 Toyota with Utah plates.
