(KSL News) -- More than a million dollars is cause for great music-making!
For the first time in its history, the Utah Symphony has a three-year sponsorship of its entire season. Global banking and securities firm UBS is the orchestra's new partner.
Anne Ewers, CEO Utah Symphony & Opera: "This has opened a whole new world for us... And I hope for other non-profit organizations around the country... "
Ray Dardano, President, CEO UBS Bank USA: " We said, well, we like orchestral music... We like to help build the youth in a community and there's no better way to build the youth than through music..."
The symphony season opens Friday, and Carole Mikita will visit one-on-one with music director Keith Lockhart for that story.
