LOGAN, Utah (AP) -- Utah State University is getting a 26 (m) million dollar grant from the Defense Department to continue developing hardware and software for the Navy.

The university has already received 22 (m) million dollars since 2002 under an agreement with the Naval Research Laboratory and this money will bring that amount to more than 48 (m) million dollars.

The university has been developing hardware and software that allows fighter jets to transmit photographs of enemy positions in real time so that the data can be analyzed.
