Man Shot when He Points Gun at Officer

(KSL News) -- St. George police shot a man that aimed a gun at them tonight.

Officers spotted two men in a car on St. George boulevard, one of them with outstanding warrants.

One of the suspects fled on foot and as police closed in, the suspect pulled a gun and pointed it at the officers. They shot the man and he's now in a hospital.

His name hasn't been released.

The officers will be on paid administrative leave while the shooting is investigated.
