SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- President Gordon B. Hinckley, president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, announced two new temples will be built for the faithful, one in Twin Falls, Idaho, and the other in the Salt Lake Valley.
The Twin Falls Temple will be the fourth in Idaho, and will serve church members living between Idaho Falls and Boise.
The new temple in the Salt Lake Valley will be the third temple in the area and the 12th in Utah.
President Hinckley says continued growth of the church may require a fourth Salt Lake area temple.
