RIVER HEIGHTS, Utah (AP) -- Talk about planning ahead.

The River Heights City Council barely discussed before unanimously approving a resolution ordering stores to cover up lewd magazines in commercial displays.

The ban sailed through, even through there's no stores in this town of about 15-hundred immediately south of Logan.

Mayor Vic Jensen says he doesn't think they spent five minutes on it before giving the ban the go-ahead.

He says members were all in agreement on anything that is beneficial to making a better moral community, moral county, moral state.

Even though NO stores are affected, city officials are pursuing commercial development that could one day include stores that sell magazines.
