MURRAY, Utah (AP) -- It appears another person is out of work because of the scandal involving Salt Lake County Mayor Nancy Workman.
The Deseret Morning News is reporting this morning that the Boys and Girls Club of South Valley has released Workman's daughter, Aisza Wilde, from her job as development director.
The mayor has been charged with two felonies for using county funds to pay for a bookkeeper at the boys and girls club. Workman is on administrative leave until the legal problems are resolved.
Wilde has repeatedly said she did NOT benefit personally from the arrangement.
But club executive director Bob Dunn says it was uncomfortable to have Wilde out in the public, soliciting donations. Instead of talking about the club, he says people wanted to talk to her about her mother's situation, and that wasn't fair to anyone.
He's planning to meet with her today to see if she can be reassigned.
