SANDY -- A Sandy school teacher got quite a surprise today. Rachelle Pease was awarded $1,000 in school supplies from OfficeMax.

Utah OfficeMax employees presented her with a chair, computer programs for her students and even a printer.

She was thrilled, saying, "I've got a printer now in my own classroom, so I don't have to walk around the building to find my stuff. I think it'll be really helpful."

Pease was one of 1,000 teachers nationwide who were honored for their hard work and dedication to the classroom.

The award is part of a campaign called "A Day Made Better," which awards teachers with school supplies that they couldn't otherwise afford.
