(KSL News) An Idaho fugitive is back in custody this morning thanks to a keen Utah state trooper.

David Lee Paige was walking along I-15 in Box Elder County when he was nearly hit by a speeding car and the squad car that was pulling it over.

The trooper went back to make sure the guy was okay, noticed he was wearing jail pants, and arrested him.

This morning Paige is in the Box Elder County jail awaiting extradition.
