(KSL News)--Sunday night family members, friends, and public officials gathered to remember more than 60 Utahns who died in a violent act in 2003.

A Wall of Remembrance was dedicated at the Salt Lake City and County Building and relatives of victims spoke, including Thelma Soares, Lori Hacking's mother.

Thelma Soares: "We don't want to be a part of this group, but we are, jolted into it by somebody else's actions."

The YWCA is sponsoring "Week Without Violence." It's designed to raise awareness about abuse in homes and communities.
