(KSL News) -- A fire in South Jordan completely destroys a house this morning.
It started just before six, at a home under construction near 11th West and 98th South.

Some one called 9-1-1 after seeing smoke and flames coming from the home. But by the time fire crews got to there, the home was fully engulfed.
Batt. Chief Phil Harris, South Jordan Fire Dept.: "Shortly after they arrived, the second story collapsed in on the first floor, so obviously we spent our time from the outside, in a defensive operation."
No one was living in the house at the time.
However, the families in two neighboring homes had to evacuate their homes while crews battled the blaze.
The fire caused some minor damage to the siding of one of those homes.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
